The Cutest Pumpkins in the Patch

Oh the pumpkin patch. I LOVE going to the pumpkin patch each year. I love everything that pumpkins make me think of: fall, cooler weather, playing outside, pumpkin spice lattes, my grandma's pumpkin pie, and so on. Despite the pictures below, this particular day was just gross. It was HOT, we were all sweating and grumpy from the weather. I picked up Micah from school early so he wouldn't miss out and all that did was tick him off that he missed going to the playground with his class. I literally fought with the kids to get pictures and my sweet sister exercised much patience with me and the kids. I should probably do an outtakes post or you won't believe me because once again, she worked her magic and emailed me these 6 pictures the next day. I will choose to forget how the day actually was and look at these pictures and smile and pretend that these pictures were taken while I sipped my pumpkin spice latte in the fall breeze...

Happy Spring!

I asked my sister to take a few pictures of Micah over Easter weekend since the only 4 year pictures I had of him he is dressed like a super hero. :) As always, she did a fabulous job and I love
all the springy colors!

I love this one of them, they give each other the best hugs!

When did he grow up so much?

Cute? Creepy? I say cute, David says creepy.

My sweet boy!

My super heroes

Micah and Laurel's birthday party was a huge success last weekend! I am still working on the post about it so until then, here are some pictures of my super heroes from our super hero photo shoot with my sister in February. They sure do make for some adorable yet fierce super heroes!

Family...

I just realized that I never posted pictures from our second family photo shoot with my sister. I mentioned in my thankful post how thankful we are for family and I meant it. We are so blessed to have so much family not only live close but be such a part of our and our kid's lives. For this photo shoot, we got together David's whole family as a gift for his mom. It was freeeezing outside but we still managed to get a lot of really sweet pictures!

 The whole fam!

Just the girls! Mimi never thought she'd get to have this many girls after being totally outnumbered by boys for so many years

Proud Mimi and Bubba

The boys

Kev and Audrey

Connor and Alex

Our little fam

I so love this one because it 1) looks like they are having a conversation and 2) shows what a special relationship Bubba and Laurel has. She has him completely wrapped around her finger!

Lastly, this is one of my faves from the session!

Once again, Natalie did an awesome job!
Too bad she can't clone herself to get pictures of our side of the family. I am also very thankful for them and how much a part of our lives they are!

My ordering deadline is tomorrow and we are 1 down 2 to go on performances where Micah is boy Jesus and David is a King... after this weekend I hope to return to normal life! Posts coming soon: Happy Birthday Jesus party and Christmas Celebration at church! I love the holidays!

Thankful Part 2

I am also very thankful for a sister who is also a very gifted photographer. She took all of these pictures which I am kind of obsessed with. I am also thankful for the empty lot that looks like a field next door to my parent’s house as well as for my mom who let us move one of her couches into said field/lot for these pictures.

Hi my name is Ally

... and I am a family portrait addict. There, I said it. The first step is admitting the problem, right? I will also admit that a good portion of the fun for me is picking out the outfits and coordinating them. It certainly only feeds my addition that I have a sister and friend that are fantastic photographers and I have been able to bum off of them for the last year.

My poor sister. Pretty much about to pop with Sadie, I asked begged her to take some family pictures after Laurel's birthday party because I like having pictures around the kid's birthdays. That next week, she took more pictures at the arboretum of the kids for their 3/1 year pictures.

I L-O-V-E them! I love how bright and cheery and spring-timey they are! I wanted to post all 427 of them but I thought you might not want to see all of those, so I narrowed it down to my favorite 73 and of those decided to show you these:

Thanks, Nat! You're the best!
