As I mentioned above, my friend Sarah is quite talented at taking pictures and is just now discovering her gift. Our family has been lucky enough to help her build her portfolio! When I was pregnant with Micah, I didn't want any pictures taken of my belly... I felt huge and unattractive. Looking back, I don't have any pictures pregnant! So, this time, I indulged Sarah and took some belly pics. I felt silly most of the time but I am delighted to have these to look back on.

I am still trying to get the pictures from the shower from my sister and Sarah so these are just a few that I stole off of my sister's shutterfly:

It's a...
GIRL!!!! Oh my goodness, I am so excited I can hardly stand it. I never thought that I would get to have a little girl! I just figured I would be stuck with stinky boys forever (which I truly wouldn't have minded). Everything went great at our 18 week ultrasound this morning. Baby girl is developing normally and is perfectly healthy! We are thrilled and feel so very blessed!

Surprise!
![]()
Yep, it's true... Micah is going to be a big brother! We are so excited and can't wait to meet baby #2. He/she is due to arrive at the beginning of April. We have already been to the Dr. and have seen and heard the baby's heartbeat. I forgot how fun that was! I have been feeling much more sick this pregnancy than when I was pregnant with Micah but it is finally starting to go away. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers over the next few months!

Showered With Love

The sweet hostesses
David and I feel so blessed to have friends and family that are so generous toward us. We sat down after the shower yesterday evening and just couldn’t get over how blessed we are. Baby Saxe is going to be so loved by so many people!
Grandparent update:
The Grandparents have officially decided what their names will be (we’ll see if the baby complies).
Susan (Mamma Mac) = Suzu
Ted = Teddy (this one is still in question)
Malinn = Mimi
Sandy = Bubba

Thoughts on pregnancy...
Above you will see the most recent belly pic taken. I have swelled up nice and round! I am now 34 weeks so only 6 weeks to go! I thought I’d take this opportunity to share some thoughts on pregnancy.
Happy times in pregnancy:
1) Feeling the baby move is impossible to describe and unlike anything I have ever felt before. It is so amazing to realize how God created a woman’s body to carry and grow a child. (Side note, allowing others to feel the baby move is also fun, and entertaining; especially when one of them jumps back as though she has felt an alien.)
2) It seems that everyone loves a pregnant woman. People who are walking past you in the grocery store with a frown on their face will suddenly light up just to smile at your belly. It really is fascinating. I have also enjoyed the sweet comments (the not-so-enjoyable comments I am leaving out) My favorites are:
- “How far along are you?” I answer. “Really? You don’t look like it at all!”
- “I hope I am as cute as you when I am pregnant” (I have really held on to this one)
- Simply stated “You look great”.
(a little encouragement goes a long way with a pregnant lady)
3) Setting up the nursery has been a blast and very eye-opening. After putting everything in its place (almost done, pictures to come) and washing all the bedding and clothes in the special baby detergent, you come to the realization that this is real, a new human being will be living in this room in the months to come. Lately, I have been spending quite a lot of time in his room. I find myself sitting in the rocker thanking God for this gift he is giving us and praying that he grows into a strong man of God.
4) Baby things! All the tiny blankets, socks, hats, onesies, stuffed animals, and (my favorite) shoes are so much fun. I cannot wait for out little one to use all of these gifts! I have a feeling I am really going to have to resist playing dress-up with him.
5) Nausea… or lack thereof. The morning sickness monster chose not to stop at my house. I am very grateful for this.
6) Help! It has amazed me how much people want to help out when you are pregnant. From the frozen meals to people offering a hand when I’m walking up stairs or getting in a car, I have been so blessed. One of my favorites comes each week at HEB when I am rolling my cart full of groceries out the door. It never fails that one of the sackers will come up to me and say “Ma’am, are you sure that you don’t need any help out?” I haven’t yet taken them up on their offer, but something tells me I will before this is all over.
7) Secrets… call him Secret Saxe. Yes, we have chosen a name for our bundle of joy. Nope, we are not telling what it is until he arrives. It has been a lot more fun than I thought it would be to keep it a secret.
I will spare you the Not-So-Happy Times in pregnancy. I have been blessed with a fairly easy pregnancy.
David and I cannot wait to meet our new little one. We so appreciate all of your prayers and support. We will keep you updated!

It's a BOY!
David and I are so excited to announce that we are having a baby boy! Since all I know is dolls and Barbies, I will be learning a lot! He currently weighs 12 oz. and my due date was moved up to March 4th. So far, I have been very blessed with a pretty easy pregnancy. He takes alot of my energy, but other than that, no problems! I have attached below a video of part of our ultrasound. Technology is so amazing, we were ableto see his heart, his bones, everything! He looks like a healthy baby boy! We haven’t decided on any names but I will keep you posted. Thank you for all of your prayers, we have some exciting months ahead!Friday, August 03, 2007

Surprise! We are delighted to let everyone know that we are having a baby!! Baby Saxe is due to arrive in the beginning of March. This is such a blessing and we are very very excited. Ally is 10 weeks right now and has already been to the doctor twice. We were able to see the baby's heartbeat, it was amazing.
