Thanksgiving

We had a great weekend in College Station celebrating Thanksgiving! Here is our week in photos...

Aggie Football {2013}

It's been such a fun Aggie Football season! The Alabama and Auburn games had disappointing endings but were still super fun games to attend. Laurel got to go to her first game (against Auburn) and Micah has already been to 2. Suzu and Teddy put a pool in their backyard over the summer and it has provided tons of fun for the weekends we've been there. It's so nice to jump in after  HOT football game!

Camp Suzu

While me and David were in Steamboat for July 4th, the kids went to College Station for Camp Suzu! I just got these pictures from my sister and I had to post. As you can see, they had TONS of fun! I think Suzu might end up with a few more applications for camp next year than she was anticipating. Nat and her family were up there at the same time so she got wrangled into being one of Suzu's "camp counselors" along with Teddy. It is so fun to know that while we are away on vacation, our kids were having a blast!

We are the Aggies, the Aggies are we...

I attended my first Texas A&M football game at Kyle Field when I was 6 months old. For my entire life, my parents have been season ticket holders and we made the short trek to College Station multiple times throughout the fall to go to each and every football game. It was just what we did, we were Aggies. My parents met at A&M and always spoke so fondly of their time there. When it came time to choose where I wanted to go to college, there was really no decision to be made. A&M was the only school I applied to and the only school I could picture myself going to. I loved my time as a student in Aggieland and happened to marry a guy who's family is just as (if not more) obsessed with being Aggies as my family. Our kids were doomed. When we had the opportunity to go on Kyle Field to take pictures with my sister, we of course took it and we had a blast. At one point I got a little frustrated with David because he was not focusing and was just running around throwing the football and I had to stop myself and realize that he has been going to games at Kyle Field since he was younger too and this was probably kind of a big deal to him. It was so cute to watch him and Micah and my dad running around playing football on the field. When I look at these pictures, they make me so happy and a little emotional. Aggieland in my mind is associated with such happy and positive memories and where I had some of the best times in my life. I love that our kids are being raised just like we were to be little Aggies... call us brainwashers, we don't mind. No, we won't disown them if they choose to go to college somewhere else. Construction on Kyle will start after this football season and while I know the changes will be great, it made me a little sad as we were walking out of the stadium that it won't look like this for much longer. I'm so glad we got these pictures before the renovations because this is how I always want to remember Kyle Field...

Mother's Day Weekend

Last Friday morning, me and my sister loaded up all 4 kids and Riley and hit the road to College Station for Mother's Day weekend! It's so nice that me and Nat can go up early and then the boys can come separately when they are finished with work. We had such a great and fun filled weekend! 

 When we got there on Friday, Suzu was ready with cupcakes for the kids to decorate. They may have eaten more than they decorated but they had lots of fun either way!

 On Saturday, all the mamas got to get out for some pampering! This was such a treat and we had a blast. We went and got massages, had lunch together and then went for pedicures. 

 When we got home, Micah and Teddy were out golfing and the girls were ready to go swimming! The water was pretty chilly but the kids didn't mind! I can't believe that summer is almost here!

Sunday, we went to Traditions for the Mother's Day brunch. It was such a fun and special day!

We have lots of Mamas in our life that we are so thankful for this Mother's Day. It was so fun to get to celebrate with Suzu and Nat and we look forward to celebrating with Mimi and Audrey later (both were out of town Mother's Day weekend)!

Micah made me a Mother's Day card at school and this what inside. When I read it I was laughing so hard I was crying. Apparently I am pretty lazy, but at least I'm tall and skinny according to Micah! 

My little golfer...

I know I already posted about Micah's first golf lesson with Teddy but I just found these pictures on my camera from Spring Break and couldn't resist...

Teddy is such a calm, no pressure, laid back teacher and Micah responded so well to him. He was really hitting the ball after only one lesson! I am so proud of my little golfer!
