Another busy weekend! So busy that it is Thursday and I am just now recovered enough to post about it! On Saturday, Micah was honored with a Sip and See. I never knew what this was until he came along. 3 of my mom's lovely friends hosted this event to come and sip tea and see Micah. It was so fun. Many people who had never met him got to for the first time. We had quite a few out of town visitors which I know made him feel very special. Pictured below is my grandmother (Grand Joyce- my mom's mom) and my Aunt Mary. My Aunt Mary came all the way from Alaska!!!

Backing up a bit, on Friday night, David and I had our first date night since Micah's arrival. It was so nice to have a night out together. We went to dinner in town at PF Chang's and then went to our friend (and Micah's godmother) Liz's show. She is a dancer with the Houston MET dance company. It was the first show I had ever been to of its kind and it was awesome! Liz was fantastic!
Back to Saturday, here Micah right after he finished getting ready for the Sip and See.

Moving on to Sunday... after all that excitement on Saturday, Micah slept 10 1/2 hours without making a sound! WOW! We woke up Sunday quite refreshed ready for the day! Sunday was a very important day because Sunday Micah was baptized. Being raised in the baptist church, this was a whole new experience for me. He wore a beautiful outfit that Aunt Nat bought when she was in Italy for study abroad a few years ago. She bought it for her own children and wanted Micah to wear it. He looked quite handsome and not at all like a girl. He didn't mind being sprinkled with the water and only got a little fussy when he didn't know what was going on. For those who don't know, we are involved in a small church plant community called 705: House Network (link on sidebar). We are not currently meeting in a church building, we meet in a meeting room of an apartment building in the city. Sunday night felt so great to worship with our close friends and family and our church community all together. We feel so blessed to have had so many friends and family there to support and love us on such an important day!

Micah with us and his godparents

As you can see above, by the end of it all, Micah was tired from such an eventful weekend and was ready to go home and go to sleep!
PS- I have added more pictures to our Shutterfly. Check out the link on the sidebar.
Jeff and I enjoyed sharing Micah's special day, too!
