This past weekend, we went to Austin to celebrate my grandparent's 60th anniversary and 80th birthdays. It was such a fun day and such a special occasion! We spent most of the weekend in College Station but on Saturday morning, me, David, Micah, Suzu, Teddy, Aunt Nat, and Uncle Dan all drove over to Austin to meet up with the rest of my mom's side of the family. She has 3 siblings and there are 7 cousins total. Everyone came from all over. We had people from Portland, Alaska, NYC, Kentucky, L.A., and then of course Houston and Austin. It was so fun to get to see all of the family that we don't get to see that often and to celebrate my grandparent's anniversary and birthdays. I turned my camera off of auto and pretended to be a photographer for the day, thus why my pictures look pretty bad.
At lunch (Moonshine Grill... yummmmmm)...
Our family's gift to them was this bench (has all 6 of our handprints and Micah's footprint)
Everyone in the family contributed a story for this book which my cousin Laura Jean edited and her hubby Dave created (he actually made the book by hand). We each went around and read our stories to my grandparents and there was lots of tears and laughing
the proud parents with their 4 kids/spouses
How cool is that?? I bet they are so proud of all of you. I love Moonshine- that's such a fun place! Cute invite, too!
ReplyDeleteThese are really great pictures and what a fun weekend. That invite is too cute. Also, your grandmother looks just like your mom from the side in the invitation picture. so sweet.
