Catching Up...

I am going to try to catch up since our last post but that is going to be a little tricky seeing as I have been terrible about taking pictures...

We had a wonderful Christmas with David's family this year. We are so very blessed. We spent Christmas Eve-a few days after Christmas with them and it was great. Micah is SO SPOILED! He understood quite a bit more this year compared to last as far as what was going on. He LOVED getting all of his new toys. Christmas really is so much more fun when there is a kid around. The joy and excitement is priceless!

We spent the week after Christmas mostly working on the house. David had the whole week off work which was great. Micah and I loved having him around! The house is really coming along but is still not finished. I think I will post pictures room by room as we finish. Micah's room is completely done so that will be my first to post. One of Micah's Christmas presents was a membership to the zoo and we had planned on going that week but the weather never allowed it. So, if you are up to a trip to the zoo let us know we can't wait to go!
We had a blast spending New Years with friends... I even made it until midnight. But yes, I fell asleep on the way home. I wish I had pictures but I forgot my camera... I know that someone there was taking pictures so whoever you are, send some to me!

New Years Day, we headed up to College Station to celebrate Christmas with my family. I literally ate myself sick for 2 days straight thanks to my mom and dad's amazing cooking skills. I don't know why I was so surprised when the nurse told me at my check up today that I had gained 9 POUNDS since my last appointment. Yes, 9 lbs in one month. Oops. I was doing so well and I just caught up.

In summary, we have had a busy but wonderful last couple of weeks with friends and family. Micah is so much fun every day. He is very much in his terrible two's but that doesn't compare to how sweet he is the rest of the time. His vocabulary is booming. I can't wait to see what he will say next. This morning, he started saying "Thank You Mommy" unprompted... how cute is that? I will post a video of him soon. His favorite thing right now is definitely OUTSIDE. He stands and the window and begs "Outside???" all day long. When the weather is good, I let him play but he would play out there all day every day rain or shine or freezing if it was up to him. Every time he comes inside, he turns around and waves and says "Bye, Bye outside". Precious.
