Happy Birthday Jesus!

Is there a limit of pictures per post? If so, this post will definitely exceed it! Growing up, one of our family Christmas traditions is to have a Happy Birthday Jesus cake. It is my favorite tradition and plan to continue it with my kids. Well, on Monday, our Sunday school class mamas took it to a whole new level and had a Happy Birthday Jesus party for all of the kids. We are so blessed to be a part of a Sunday school class full of friends and lots of kids for our little ones to play with! The party was going to be at our house but the rsvp list got quite long so we moved it to the church. It was a little chaotic but tons of fun. What kid doesn't love a birthday party? We are already thinking about fun ideas for next year!

We had Chick-fil-a nuggets and fruit (which Micah hovered around until it was time to eat), hot apple cider...

... and a birthday cake, of course!

We also had cookies to decorate

Everyone brought a wrapped children's book and we had a book exchange. We just put all of them in a row and said "go!" it was hilarious watching the kids run around and pick one.

We love our Veritas mommies and kiddies! You have probably seen most of these moms and kids here on the blog before...

Micah was so proud of his cookie decorating skills!

I wish I had gotten a picture of everyone there! Now, I have the Happy Birthday Jesus song stuck in my head. You know, the kind of creepy one with the little boy singing? Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS! The Lord has blessed us beyond measure and we celebrate HE who is the reason for this Christmas season!
