A Wild West HOEDOWN Part 1

Micah and Archer's birthday party on Saturday was an absolute blast! Archer's mommy Tiffany and I had so much fun planning and putting everything together. We might be biased, but we think it turned out pretty cute! Our inspiration started with the fact that both of our boys love Toy Story but we didn't want to have a Toy Story party so we went with a Woody themed party and did cowboy. We had the party at our neighborhood park. It is a nice park and perfect for parties. It has a gated entrance so you don't have to worry about escaping kids as well as a big pavilion with tables next to the playground.

Here are the party details:

We covered all the picnic tables in picnic style checkered table cloths. Each table had a mason jar filled with beans to hold down balloons. We had a banner that read "Happy 3rd Birthday Sheriffs Micah and Archer!" and an entrance sign that said "Howdy Partners, Mosey on in!" and an exit sign that said "Happy Trails". We had a "watering hole" complete with water and bottled coke, dr. pepper, and root beer. The food we served was "lone stars" (star sugar cookies), "happy trails mix" (trail mix), "hay bales" (cupcakes), "fruit skewers" (fruit kabobs stuck into mini hay bales), and "gold nuggets" (chick fil a nuggets). The favors looked like little hobo sacks and had a sheriff rubber ducky inside. We had party guests of all ages so we wanted a favor that all could enjoy!

Part II coming soon!
