Father's Day Weekend

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there. We are so blessed in this family to be surrounded by all-star dads! For Father's Day each year we get to celebrate David, Teddy, Bubba and then this year we had a new addition getting to celebrate Danny!

After Micah's first soccer game on Saturday (that is a post all in itself with video coming soon), we headed up to College Station to spend the weekend with my family.

When we got there, we headed straight to the pool at Suzu and Teddy's country club. We swam and ate lunch out there. Micah has finally gotten to where he really enjoys being at the pool. He had to go through a post-Glendy adjustment period where he was terrified every time we went to the pool that she was going to be there to make him swim. He is finally over that. Laurel? Not so much. Every pool experience is a little better with her. Micah's favorite thing to do at the pool is jump off the side and have someone catch him...

This boy sure does love his daddy!

All the girls! It is so hard to believe that I have a picture from this pool, last summer, with Laurel wearing the swimsuit Sadie was wearing on Saturday. How is it possible that she was that tiny just a year ago?? Sweet Sadie did not like how bright it was outside so she didn't last too long at the pool.

After we got back and the kids had naps, Micah was sooo excited to give David his Father's Day present... It was the cutest thing watching him carry this giant tool box up to David.

He was showing David everything inside, including some pictures he has made at school for David and Apple TV! Micah sure does know how to pick out a present.

We have figured out that it is just easier with all the kids to eat dinner after they go down so we set up a special Father's Day dinner that night. I made this banner off of ishareprintables.com. If you've never gone there, they have great FREE printables.

The dads and Natalie had a special wine tasting where they tested the same wine but from 3 different years. I just don't appreciate wine enough to be able to participate in such events.

Highlight of the dinner for me was the banana pudding... Laurel seemed to enjoy it the next day, too!

I just love this sweet man. These kids are so blessed to have him as their dad and I can't wait until they fully understand that.

Hope you all had a fantastic Father's Day weekend!
