Laurel finally went in for tubes this morning. It has been a long time coming with as many ear infections as she has had. After her last one last week, Dr. L decided that he didn't want to wait any longer and wanted her to get tubes ASAP. So, we went in at 6:30 this morning! Everything went so smoothly and we were on our way home by 8:30! Dr. L said that she did great and that everything went perfectly. She was a little groggy for about an hour and has been back to her cheerful, trouble making self since! Surgery and anesthesia is no fun with little ones, no matter now minor. I was so nervous and am so glad that is over with! I hope that we don't have any more ear infections!
Before surgery in her hospital gown... yes she still uses her paci (don't judge, usually only in bed but today she can have it as much as she wants)
After surgery. She was back there for maybe a total of 15 minutes before they called us back. I was expecting her to still be out but she was awake and ready for cuddles!
I am guessing that Laurel didn't want tubes for Christmas but she got them anyway!
I'm sorry the earaches wouldn't go away on their own, but I am betting you will be delighted by the change in her, right away. She looks so precious and vulnerable. Love you.
