Bluebonnets and Bluebell

I am always up for an adventure and this particular day a couple of weeks ago was just that! I was borrowing Bubba's Suburban for the week so I could shuffle around some furniture (current project: Laurel's big girl room, pics coming as soon as it is finished) and as soon as my dear friend Tiffany heard I had a suburban for the week, she immediately brought to my attention that we could fit all 5 kids in one vehicle (her 3, my 2) and take a roadtrip! So we headed to Brenham to find some bluebonnets and some Bluebell ice cream. We decided to go for the bluebonnets first since we figured after ice cream, they would have ruined their bluebonnet picture outfits (that was really good thinking because we were right). We happened upon a very bright bluebonnet field and had ourselves a little photo shoot... I am so glad I have my sister because I am a really bad photographer.

Micah and Archer love each other like brothers (which can be good and bad) and on this particular day, they got along all day!

I had a very hard time getting the little lady to sit still for some pictures!

Ashton's smile in this one cracks me up

The bassinet was brought for pics of Kirby but Laurel thought she would just plop right in and Ashton's followed... he loves to give her kisses...
This is seriously the best picture I got of Micah... he insisted we bring the chair so he wouldn't have to sit in the grass

After that, we headed over to the Bluebell Creamery and had a picnic lunch outside before heading inside for a tour. I was so surprised at how interested the kids were in the tour (not necessarily the tour guide but they loved seeing how ice cream is made).

If you've never been, I definitely recommend it. It is very cool to see what goes on in an ice cream factory and at the end of the tour, everyone gets a scoop of ice cream!

This was, of course, the kids' favorite part!

We will definitely be going back this summer, who wants to go with?
