I don't think I've ever posted a DIY tutorial but this one was too easy to not share. Up until making these, we didn't have any toy storage labels. I always thought it would be easier to clean up if everything just got thrown into random baskets. Turns out, I am way too type A for that and thus cleaning up was more difficult because I was constantly re-organizing baskets. Enter toy storage labels! I saw these (below) at Pottery Barn Kids and loved them but wasn't willing to spend $8 per each set of 2 so I made my own.
I found a few tutorials that involved cutting down chalkboard and adding frames, etc but I wasn't looking to make anything that fancy so I found these little chalkboards for $8.99 (pack of 12). Then, I just hot glued a little twine to the back of each one and voila! I bought a chalk pen on amazon that writes great and then I just wipe it off with a wet paper towel when I want to re-write the labels. {I promise the bottom shelf is usually more organized than this...}

Cute! Where did you find your chalkboards?
