After we were finished with our Christmas morning festivities at home, we loaded up the car and headed to College Station! Nat, Dan and Sadie had already gotten there so as soon as we arrived, we opened presents with my family. Have I mentioned how spoiled we are?
After presents, we started preparing for the 20+ family members that were on their way over from Austin for lunch! My mom's whole entire family came and we had so much fun getting to see and spend time with everyone! We haven't all been together in a really long time (I could try to quote years but I'd probably get it wrong). It was such a fun and eclectic group and I wish we had had more time together! After lunch, we had a white elephant exchange and I have not laughed that hard in as long as I can remember. Daddy Jack ended up with a, ahem, farting snowman and he was absolutely thrilled with it and scared that someone was going to take it from him.
Once the kids were up from naps, my Aunt Mary brought out a big surprise box from her- over the last few months, she has been collecting items for a dress up box for them to keep at Suzu's house! The kids had so much fun with it and I know they will continue to have fun with it for many years!
You can't get the whole group together without some group pictures so thanks to Nat and her tripod, we got lots! Here is one of the whole fam:
Aunt Mary, Greg, Hannah and Laura Jean
Our family
Aunt Kathy, Uncle Wayne, Leslie and Jacob
Uncle David, Aunt Lynn, and Jenni
Proud Grand Joyce and Daddy Jack with their 4 kids. I'm going to go ahead and point out the good genes in this family, they all look so good!
Grand Joyce and Daddy Jack with their 6 granddaughters and grandson. We didn't stand like this intentionally but growing up there were 2 groups, the older ones and the younger ones. The older 4 are all the same age and the younger 3 are all the same age. In this picture, we are standing older, younger, older, younger. We always had fun when we all got together growing up because we always had our buddies!
We stayed in College Station for a couple of days after Christmas and did nothing except eat and relax. It was amazing. Laurel has recently become so interested in helping in the kitchen so she and Suzu cooked a lot! Micah and Sadie, of course, jumped in to help too!
We had such a fun, joy-filled and blessed Christmas this year celebration the birth of Jesus!

Great pics and it looks like you all had such a good time together!!
