Now and then...
We had such a fun day celebrating Micah Man on his actual birthday. It fell on President's Day this year so it was a school holiday! David took the day off so that we could have a family day! We started the day with green birthday pancakes and opening presents from me and David...
... then we were off to the zoo for the morning! Thanks to our Zoo membership, we get to go to the zoo a lot but David doesn't ever get to come with us so it was extra special to have him there. Micah loved showing him all of his favorite exhibits...
... after coming home and taking naps (which he still does on occasion), all of our family came over for opening presents and then per Micah's request we went to Pappasito's for birthday dinner...
This kid is SO blessed to have so much family who loves him so much live close and want to be a part of his life! I know that he felt loved and celebrated!
Since his birthday was a school holiday, Micah got to take birthday treats to school the next day. He requested "5" Spider Man cookies so this is what I came up with.
After 3 days of celebrating, I still can't believe he is 5 years old!
