Father's Day Fun

Happy FIRST Father's Day David! We had such a fun Sunday celebrating David's first Father's Day. Since he works so hard during the week (and some on the weekends too, right now), Micah wanted to make Father's Day extra special but still very relaxing for his daddy. So, with help from his mommy, he planned a scavenger hunt to lead David to all of his favorite weekend places. That way, David could still do all the fun and relaxing things he likes to do on the weekend, but get there in a fun way! First stop was his favorite breakfast of eggs, bacon, and biscuits (such an easy guy). We put Micah in his high chair for the first time (he seemed to really enjoy it) so that he could give David his first clue... which lead us to Starbucks!

After going to Starbucks and Micah's morning nap, David got a clue that lead him to a new Aggie football jersey (since Dave's was very old and the team got new ones, it was time for a new one). Then, Micah showed his Daddy his new Aggie football jersey so they could match on game day... that was a winner.

Then David got a clue that took us on a walk to the pool where we had a picnic lunch and took Micah for a dip with our friends Andrew and Amy and there 1 year old, Bailey. He is still not very impressed with the pool, but we had fun for the short time that we were there!

David's last clue was to take the afternoon off from everything and relax and have dinner at Chuy's (one of his favorites--- we met my parents there).

Happy Father's Day to the best new dad ever! I have loved watching David with Micah for the past 4 months. He is such a wonderful and hands-on dad!
