5 Months

Happy 5 months Micah! It feels like the months are flying by! Micah is growing up so fast! It seems like a lot has happened this month. Micah is developing and changing more and more every day. He rode on an airplane for the first time and handled it wonderfully. He also figured out how to roll and hasn't stopped rolling since. He has really discovered his voice and his laugh and loves making all sorts of new noises. Every time we put him in the car he starts making monkey noises. I don't think he knows that's what he's doing, though. He loves to hold onto things: toys, blankets, and especially my hair.

He is still such an amazing baby. He rarely fusses and cries, unless he is trying to let you know he wants something. He is still taking 2 solid 2 hour naps a day and sometimes a little cat nap in the evenings. He goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes up 7-7:30 in the morning. You could say we are pretty spoiled!

I could have sworn he was teething a month ago because of the excessive amounts of drool he is producing, but still no teeth. He is still drooling like crazy and chewing on everything so we'll see. I have resorted to making him wear a bib when we are just around the house to control the drool.

He has started eating more food and he LOVES it! I can't get it into his mouth fast enough. He eats oatmel and fruit for breakfast and fruit and veggies for dinner. We just started the veggies this week. All he has had so far is sweet potatoes and he really liked those. The fruits he eats so far are prunes, pears, and apples. Pears are definitely his favorite.

He didn't officially have a check up this month, but we had to go in for more shots since we are spacing them out. I don't want him getting more than 2-3 at a time. He handled the shots pretty well again. Just the one big scream and red face and then back to the paci! Someday, he'll think the Looney Tunes Band-Aids are super cool and that'll cheer him up.
