Happy 7 months Micah! This morning, I looked at my calendar and was shocked to see that it was September 18th and Micah's 7 month birthday. This past week has just been so crazy that I didn't realize he isn't a 6 month old anymore! He is growing up so fast! There isn't a way for me to charge the camera at the moment (pictures in the previous post were taken on my mom's IPhone) so no pictures yet. I will post some later.
Micah is changing more and more every day. I absolutely love this stage! He can do so much now! He can sit up, roll around, grab anything in sight, play peek a boo, let me read to him, kick, and even scoot around a little bit. He hasn't started trying to crawl yet, but he is becoming quite the pro at rolling. I can still leave the room but if I'm gone for more than a minute, he is definitely not in the same place when I get back.
He is still such a great sleeper and eater. He is sleeping around 12 hours a night (7:30-7:00-7:30ish sometimes earlier) and still taking 2 solid naps a day. He is LOVING solid foods. He eats anything and everything we give him. If we leave anything on his tray, he will grab it instantly and put it in his mouth. The only thing he doesn't really like is green beans, but he'll still eat them. He loves anything with meat in it (a true boy) and almost all the fruits are a favorite. Bananas and his stomach don't quite get along... we don't know if it is an allergy or what but after a few test runs and some not so good results, no more bananas.
He is getting 2 little teeth in the middle on the bottom and it is so very cute when he smiles. So far, teething hasn't been a bad experience. It could definitely be a lot worse. He has his moments of fussiness when you can really tell they are bothering him, but Hyland's teething tablets have been doing the trick. Every now and then they don't and we resort to the Orajel which always works.
Micah has also started communicating more. He laughs when we do something funny or tickle him and that little laugh is the sweetest sound! Other than being a super smiley little fellow (and flirt when we are out), he has found his voice! He loves to babble and even scream. Just recently he has started letting out random high pitch screams. He will scream and just stare and you with a huge grin on his face, waiting for a response... I know eventually when he does it in public it won't be as cute but right now it is adorable.
It is amazing to me to see how much he is learning. He is always watching and listening. He reaches for more and more and is more and more alert every day. It amazes me to see how much he has changed in only 7 short months! He doesn't even seem like a baby anymore. We feel so blessed to have such a sweet and happy little guy. I know I say this with every new "month update", but, God has blessed us beyond measure.
You really know how to TORTURE Mimi with such adorable words about Micah when I haven't seen him in 4 weeks! (not that I'm counting the days! :) ) He's the cutest thing in the world!!!
