Where have the months gone? Here are some recent pics of our 8 month old...

Ok, enough pictures already

I can't believe that it has already been 8 months with Micah.

Micah is growing up so fast. He is quickly growing out of the baby stage and into a toddler. He isn't quite crawling yet, but somehow he is very mobile. He sits up on his own from laying down and then lunges forward like he is going to crawl. Then he lays back down and rolls and then repeats the whole process. This little routine gets him around just fine. I think he'll be crawling pretty soon, though. I've included a video for you to understand what I am talking about.

He loves to sit and play with his toys and books. He especially loves to pull everything out of a toy basket and just be surrounded by all the toys. He is so much more aware now of all of his surroundings. When he sees something he wants, he knows just how to get to it and get it (quite commonly these are these he shouldn't be getting into or glasses of water on restaurant tables). He loves playing peek-a-boo and just about the only time he calms down is when I am reading to him (you know I love that). As of late, he is very serious when meeting new people. He analyzes them and thinks very hard for a while and then he turns on the charm.

Not much has changed as far as his eating, sleeping, or teeth. He eats 3 meals a day and has a little extra milk before bedtime. He is a dream baby when it comes to sleeping, STILL! He takes 2 huge naps and sleeps around 12 hours at night.

The most fun thing that has changed this month is Micah's communication! Aside from the precious giggles and loud screams that he has discovered, Micah is babbling so much now. He gives us lots of bababa sounds (video a few posts ago), and the best are the dadada, and even a few mamama. Even though he doesn't know what he is saying, it is so much fun.

I love seeing how much he is changing and learning every day. Sometimes it makes me sad to realize that he is growing up so fast, but at the same time it is so exciting to see my little boy grow up! Each new phase is so fun. I can't wait to see what the next month brings with our little blessing!
