Swim Lessons

Last week, Micah had swim lessons with Miss Glendy (Glendy's Water Babies). She is the same person who taught David and his brothers to swim when they were little and this is our second summer with her. Click here for the post from last summer. Glendy really is a miracle worker! Or I guess I could say that she just really knows what she is doing. She tricks the kids into thinking that she is tough stuff so they do whatever she says. She is still sweet and loving with them, though. People ask me how I watch and all I can say is that I trust her completely so it really isn't hard for me to watch. The first day, Micah seemed to remember everything from last summer. He picked up right where he left off which was shocking to me. The second day, he was much more timid. By Friday, he was telling me "Go see Glendy, jump in the pool, swim to the wall". When we got there, he told her the same thing and then did it all on his own! I am so proud of him!

Side note: We had to skip Thursday because of all the rain so he only had 4 days of lessons. We'll make that day up later in the summer and I'll post about it then.
