11 Months

How is it even possible that Laurel is only 1 month away from being 1?? Time is flying by way to fast! Not too much has changed since Laurel's 10 month update. I looked back and realized that I said she had a nasty cold at 10 months and that cold is just now going away! Poor thing, I didn't realize how long she had been sick! Last week, she woke up with a 102 fever and just looked awful so I took her to the Dr. and she had her second double ear infection. Now that she is on antibiotics, she is doing so much better. I really hope that this does not become a common thing for her. Her top 2 teeth are also trying to come in, I can see them but they haven't poked through yet. All of this leads to a little fussy lady over the last couple of weeks!

I know I have said this before... but for real this time... Laurel is OFF her reflux meds! She has been off of them for a couple of weeks now and has handled it perfectly. I am so glad to be done with the reflux.

Laurel is still getting into everything. She is a wiggle worm when being held but as soon as she is on the ground she is getting into something. Her favorite lately is to open all the cabinets and try to climb inside. We child-proofed the ones that have cleaning stuff and breakables in them so she tries to climb in the cabinet with the tupperware. She has gotten to where she really likes to stand and finger walk so I know that walking on her own is probably coming soon!

She is still getting more and more of a personality every day. She is so friendly to strangers and waves at everyone. Her beautiful eyes get compliments everywhere we go. She is so giggly and loves to make silly faces, especially at her big brother. She doesn't have any new words but is still saying "uh-oh, mama, dada, and baby" consistently. She has also started saying "boo!" when we are playing peek-a-boo.

She is still such a great sleeper and eater. Nothing has changed with her sleeping except that she has been sleeping even more than usual because she has been sick. She is still eating mostly baby food but we are trying to mix in table food everyday. She loves bread, tortillas, pancakes, biscuits... basically any form of bread. She also really like Chuy's refried beans.

As far as toys go, Laurel is still obsessed with her baby dolls. I have never seen a little girl get so excited about baby dolls! It is precious.

Lately, she is loving this beautiful weather and being outside. We don't have a baby swing for her yet but she loves to swing on my lap and watch Micah swing and go down the slide. I know that it is only a matter of time before she is running around with him!

Favorites: all her baby dolls, blankie, reading books, bath time, being outside, and big brother.

Dislikes: diaper changes, car rides, and anything else that requires she be on her back. She is kind of like a turtle.

I can't believe that we are in countdown mode to Laurel's first birthday. The last 11 months have been such a joy with our little one- we are so blessed!
