Rad. Or Totally Rad.
Or maybe not. On Friday, we had some friends celebrating their 30th birthdays in serious 80's style at a roller skating rink. The outfits and more importantly the hair was so entertaining!
Some of the ladies-- yes I crimped my hair. All of it. It took an hour. It was H-O-T, in both appearance and actual temperature but more so the latter.
Most of my and David's outfits came from Sandollar Thrift Store in the Heights. I cannot believe I actually convinced him to wear the pleated jorts and windbreaker. Allison's lovely shirt pictured above is actually an original work of art. Yes, she embellished and puff painted it herself. I kind of wish I had been born in the 70's so that this could have been my era. It is so fun yet so terribly tacky at the same time! I refuse to post an action shot of skating because my arms are out keeping my balance in every one. I haven't skated in probably 20 years and needless to say I am not very good at it. My objective was to not fall and I didn't so I consider it a success! Happy 30th Birthday Tiffany, Laura, and Erin! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you! Also big thanks to Nat and Dan for babysitting so we could go!
