Micah and I spent last weekend visiting friends up in Dallas. I know that Dallas isn't that far north, but driving for that long up 45 with an impatient 3 year old in the backseat makes it seem much further. The last time we made this trip,
Micah was only 8 months old. This trip was overdue! David wanted a weekend to work on stuff around the house so I packed up the kids and headed to Dallas, dropping Laurel off in College Station on the way. We stayed with my life long friend/practically my sister Laura and her family. I lived with them when I did my student teaching in Dallas years ago so it still feels a little like home when I am there. Laura and I spent the entire weekend digital scrapbooking. Might sound boring to you but we had a blast! I finally finished Laurel's 1st year scrapbook while there. Micah could not have had more fun playing with the big boys and was one worn out little dude on Sunday. He came home with all sorts of goodies, too. Among other things, Ethan & Graham let Micah bring home their workbench/tool set toy that they have outgrown and Micah loves playing with it. Thanks, Laura for having us, we had so much fun!

While there, I also got to visit some of my girlfriends from college. We don't see each other near enough but when we are together, it feels like not much time has passed. I guess except for the fact that every time we get together there are either new kids or spouses.
How about a little then and now...
Then...
I am well aware that I really needed to lay off the fake tanning. This was my surprise 20th birthday party that they threw for me.
Now...
Micah loved playing getting into trouble with Miss Addison.
Such a fun weekend with friends, thanks girls!
