Tuesday, July 12th was our Papaw's 89th birthday so we went and surprised him and my grandma with 3 of their great-grandkids. They had not yet met Sadie so this was extra special.
I have still not gotten the pictures from my sister but I wanted to post about it so here ya go:
Happy Birthday, Papaw!
Sadie got to meet her Mamo. This is incredibly special because Mamo’s “real” name is Martha Jane, and is Sadie’s namesake. My sweet Mamo is currently battling Alzheimer’s and it warmed my heart for her to know exactly who Sadie was (even though they had never met) all because it was Sadie Jane that she was meeting.
We tried desperately to get a good shot of Suzu with her grand-kids…

Fail.I can just hear Laurel telling us that she’s pointing to Sadie’s ear. Just before she yanks on it. Hilarious. I have a feeling that the older they get…the more trouble these three will manage to find together!
Micah is noticeably absent from many of these pictures. I blame the Suzu. Once he figured out that there would be no birthday cake and cookies like she had promised (it was, after all, 9am), his mood just wasn’t the same!
