Seaworld!

I am still getting caught up from an amazing weekend in San Antonio for Connor and Alex's wedding. It was such a fun weekend! With all of the wedding festivities being over on Saturday night, we decided it would be fun to take the kids to Seaworld on Sunday! Nothing like cramming as much fun as you can into one weekend, right? Though we were all a little exhausted I am SO GLAD we went. The kids (and let's be honest adults too) had a blast. I already cannot wait to go back. You might notice that there aren't a lot of pictures of Micah but that was just because he was running around the entire time getting a good look at everything there was to see.

We started our day at Dolphin Cove and we got there right as the dolphin feeding was starting. The dolphins were so friendly and as long as you were feeding them they let you touch them which was very fun.

From there, we headed on to the aquarium. Micah is very much into sharks right now so he was very excited to see real sharks in the tank.

From the aquarium we were off to see Shamu! Micah was very careful in choosing his seat because he DID NOT want to be in the splash zone. One of his little quirks is that he passionately hates getting wet unless it is when he is swimming. He was very excited to see the Orcas (he was terrified when we called them Killer Whales so they are Orca Whales only in our house).

After Shamu, we were HOT and in need of a break so we stopped for a quick lunch before the Beluga whale and dolphin show (the Belugas are my favorite).

Our last stops were the sealion show (definitely our favorite show and the one that Micah was the most engaged in) and the penguins. Micah and Laurel loved the penguins. Micah kept talking about how cute they were.

By this point it was around 3 o'clock and we hadn't anticipated the kids lasting past 2. Natalie, Danny and Sadie headed home and we took the kids over to the Bay of Play (a giant Sesame Street themed splash park) to cool off before the trip home.

When we finally left, they were two exhausted kiddos! At the end of the day when we were walking to the car, we asked the kids what their favorite part of the day was. Micah's was seeing Shamu and Laurel's was the dolphins. I think that the sweet faces below say it all, THANK YOU Suzu and Teddy for such a fun day! It was a perfect end to a wonderful weekend!

Next up, posts on the wedding and someday I'll finally post about our lawn re-do!
