Not sure why I'm posting this...

**Do not read while eating**

First of all, I will just note that after being a mom for 15 months, it seems that nothing is too gross to discuss. I have had conversations in the grocery store line about breastfeeding and I hardly hesitate before talking about my child's bowel movements. SO, if you find this post weird, I'm sorry I just don't know when to stop myself.

My sister keeps nagging me to update this thing but a whole lot of nothing has been going on in the last week... except for diarrhea. Micah has had some sort of tummy bug that has led to the nastiest diapers one has ever seen in their entire life... multiple times a day. Don't even get me started on the diaper rash. Ok fine, I'll share one story. Micah flipped out at dinner on Friday night and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. When we got home...

David: I figured out why Micah was screaming at dinner.

Ally: Why?

David: LOOOOOK! His butt is on FIRE! I'd be screaming too!

The high point of the week thus far was yesterday when I got to take a sample out of his diaper and put it in a little vile to take to his pediatrician. Nice.

Side note: I highly recommend California Baby's diaper cream. It has worked better than Desitin and this one.

This post has now inspired me to share my favorite/funniest story from my days as a teacher. One day, little Johnny (that's what we'll call him) brought a note for missing school the previous day. This is what the note said:

"Please excuse little Johnny from school yesterday. He had the runs."

After leaving the room to control my laughter and share it with my friend next door, yes, I saved the note.
